Owwwl you doing?

... yea that doesn't really work does it? Owl you doing? Oh well it made me laugh!

Good morning everyone! One step closer to christmas, the chocolates are being eaten from the calendar, the decorations are up.... yes I am one of *those* people who insist on maximizing the christmas cheer! haha! Just need to make sure Luke doesn't eat or bring down the tree!

So, still in Birthday mood, I have another card for you using more goodies from the lovely Miss Tiina!
TreeTop Owls! Oooooooooooooooooooo so cute!

I love the fact that with this pack you get the owls seperately, so you can use 1, 3, 5, 4, 2 or all in any combination! Fan-dabby-dosey!

So check out my creation!

Image: Treetop Owls by Miss Tiina
Inks and Things: Printer Ink
Papers: Kraft Card blank from papermania, Blue card from Paper Mill direct
Odds and Sods: Ribbon from stash. Sentiment generated in Word using Miss Tiina font
I just love those cute owls hiding away! The possibilities with this set are endless! Don't you think?
I love the designs by Miss Tiina, the quality of the images are always amazing, and because they are vector you can scale them to any size and they lose no quality! They print *beautifully* and because she is just so awesome you get a lot of flexibility with her designs, especially papers in that you get individual components, you can change the colour of almost all elements of a design!

Anyway, enough of my babbling! Do go check out her designs either at her blog Miss Tiina or at the shop at SugarHillCo

Until next time, take care!

Pop That Cork

Hi everyone!

The beginning of another week! Phew how time flies!
This time I've got a card using one of the fab images from Lia Sampz! This one uses the oh so cute HARRY. Popping his cork!

I have a design that I just love! It was on a card I saw here by the amazing Marion Vagg from Made Marion!
I just love the simplicity teamed with the pop of colour from that cute little monster. I've used that layout a couple of times! I love, love love it!

So I needed a card for my brother-in-laws birthday!
    Image: Harry by LiaStampz
Inks and Things: Printer Ink along with distress inks for the image
Paper: White card from Staples and Red card from Papermill Direct
Odds and Sods: Sentiment created in word using Travelling Typewriter font. Black cotton from stash.

Isn't it just awesome! Just that touch of colour makes all the difference! I've really gotten into the CAS way of cards and I much prefer it to overly fussy cards, which I cannot create despite my best effort! Seriously, I am a complete disaster when it comes to embellishing cards! So much so I've donated my entire embellishment stash to my mother! Ha!

Have a great week everyone and I'll talk to you soon.

Lots of Love

Bundle of Fun

Good evening everyone!

I have an evening without my baby bear tonight, he is staying with his granny and grandad whilst I recover from this super throat bug! Eurgh!

Talking of Bears its release day at Doodle Pantry!
This month Laurie has some beautiful releases, a cute vintage stove, trumpet vine, bottles and jars and some beautifully coloured older items!

I chose to work with the new vintage bear.
It is absolutely stunning, so many uses....

I decided to use it for a new baby card, although the little baby isn't here yet! The manager at Lukes nursery was due two weeks ago! I imagine she has now had the baby but what a long wait!!! :)

Anyway, here is my card!

Image: Vintage Bear by Doodle Pantry
Inks and Things: Computer Ink and pencils on the bear
Papers: Gingham in Bluebell by Pink Petticoat
Odds and Sods: Twine from the ribbon girl, Baby Boy die cut from Silhouette America, Cream card from Paper Mill Direct

I love how well this turned out, I got an early Christmas present.... a silhouette cameo! I adore it! It works so beautifully, I adore the simplicity of it :)

Anyway enough of that! There is a free gift with every purchase at the store :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

A Christmas Card you say?

Is it nearly Christmas? I've not posted many christmas cards yet.... to be fair I haven't made all that many! Draaat!

But this is an exception! Oh yes!
Doodle Pantry has the most amazing snow angels ever! This may be because the creatures making a snow angel just happen to be those cute little ants :)

Check these cuties out!

Images: Doodle Pantry Snow Angel Ants
     Inks and Things: Printer Ink
Papers: Red card from Paper Mill Direct
Odds and Sods: Glamour dust along that there strip of double sided tape

Cute eh?
The great thing about these sets is that you get the coloured version, for when you're in a hurry (Exhibit A)
and also the outline versions for when you've got a bit of time and can colour in! Plus they always come with the best most pun-y sentiments!

This card was done in about 10 minutes start-to-finish! Just great for those stock of christmas cards we all need to make! You get 3 ants too so the combinations are going to be endless!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm off for my first, in a long line of christmas meals! Bliss!

Scent-sational

Hello again!

So how many days is it til Christmas now? Not many!! Eeek so exciting!
My first Christmas as a mummy, need to find somewhere to hide all the wrapped presents... I need an extra room :)

So I needed to make a card for my sister, she was/is/has turning 30!
I was looking through some of my favourite Doodle Pantry images and found this cute little skunk!
I know, I know skunk = not traditionally cute! Come on, this one by Laurie is soooooooooooooooo CUTE :D

I used the matching papers to create this quick, cute little card for her!

Images: Quirky Skunk by Doodle Pantry
         Inks and Things: Printer Ink
Papers: Matching paper from set and green paper from Paper Mill Direct
         Odds and Sods: None

Love this little sweetie! So cute isn't he :)

Hope you are all having a great day!

I love you!

Good morning campers!

Happy Tuesday to you! I have a day off work today, and Luke is at nursery.... FREEDOM! Although I am very busy working on lots of new projects.... more on that later!

So this card.... was one of those one off cards! The 'just because' cards.
I saw this card by the amazingly talented Vicky at Clips N Cuts. Its so adorable and I teamed the idea with a great set by Miss Tiina called Vector Rainbow Love could it get any cuter??

    Supplies:
Images: Rainbow Love by Miss Tiina
     Inks and Things: Printer Ink
Papers: Created using an overlay from Melstampz
Odds and Sods: Just some silicon glue

Before I printed it the poor littke bluebird was as clear as day! It got a bit drowned out on printing! Hey, maybe he is playing hide-n-seek or something :)

Have a wonderful day everyone

Boop Bop Beep!

Hey everyone! Hope you're all having a good week!

So I have a 'pen friend' in Canada. I say pen friend, its more a virtual affair!
She has a beautiful little boy and I wanted to send a card and a present over for him!
I heard he was a big fan of robots so I went for a browse on the internet and came across this set by Tickled Pink Studio!

The papers were from the same set!
The font is a downloadable one. Its a pretty simple card, but what more could a 1 year old want :)

Speak to you all soon

A little bit of Art Deco

Hello everyone!

A little while ago a friend asked me to make a card for a friend who was in to 'art deco'.
I had a little, well actually, a long google and finally formulated a plan.

So, I found a great tutorial on an art deco design card here.
It was really easy.... and I used this decoupage sheet to create the card!

It looks really glam! I like how it turned out!
I added stripes of purple glitter to the edges and to the outer edges of the card.

Here is a close up of the beautiful rose

and finally the beautiful design of the card. Eileen is a very talented lady!

Well i'm all art-deco'd out now!

Until next time :)

Top Banana!

So...  my dad has now retired, its great.. he wasn't happy in his job and he can now focus on what he truly loves... He is training to become a counsellor.

Obviously I needed to make him a card to mark this huge step in my dad's life!
I saw this amazing card by Arielle and used it as my inspiration.

I used a great digikit from Hero Arts to create this card.

The paper is from Pink Petticoat from this collection.
I don't particularly like how this one turned out... Not sure why! It doesn't look so playful as Arielles!
Ho hum!

I used another one of the images in the digikit for the inside:

Looking back now, maybe I should have reversed it, put the monkey on the front and the banana inside!

The main thing is that he liked it! Phew!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Birthday Hugs!

Hurrah Its the weekend!

How is everyone doing? As you can see its been pretty busy this week on my blog, I think i've posted more the last 7 days than the last 7 months :D

So this week Doodle Pantry are sponsoring the Fab 'n' Funky challenge!
This weeks challenge:

'Lets see those bears'

Laurie has some great images available in the Doodle Pantry store! I chose to use Cuddly Bear.
Such a versatile set! I decided to use it for a birthday card :)

Image used: Cuddly Bear by Doodle Pantry
                    Inks and Things: All printed
Papers: Kraft card from ebay, Green card from PapermillDirect, Patterned Paper from Doodle Pantry
Odds and Sods: Card Candy, Sentiment generated in word using font from Miss Tiina.

I love this cute little image!
I cut the grass out from the same print on some green card as I feel it needed a little more than just the waving bear! I think it works pretty well.

Do come and enter the challenge at Fab N Funky you could win some Doodle Pantry goodies!

Take care and have a great weekend.

Love and Kisses

Good morning everyone!

Hope you are all keeping well.
So its nearly the weekend again, hurrah!

A few of my friends got married this year, its been a busy year with weddings and babies :)

I was searching high and low for ideas, I wanted to do something vintage!
So I came across THIS kit and used a great overlay from MelStampz to create the background from papers included in the set.

Here is the card.

I love how it turned out. I used glossy accents on the girl and the boy and used crackle accents on the two heart balloons. The love and kiss sentiment were printed and then silicon glued onto the card.

Here is a close up of the glossy details!

I used distress ink to vintage-things up a bit more!

I love how it turned out, I think the couple liked it too :)
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Card Crafters Circle: Textures (The linen card, glossy accents and crackle accents)
Craft Punked: Anything Goes
Polka doodles: Square card with a circle element

Bubbles and Giraffes

Good morning everyone!

So, back before we found out we were expecting, my husband and I decided to book a party to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary.... about a month after booking it we found out we were expecting... and so yea... things changed..

Once Luke arrived we confirmed that it was going to be a naming ceremony for him. Of course any event needs some swanky invites, and these ones came courtesy of my Pink Petticoat stash!
Using the beautiful Baby Giraffe and the equally amazing Bubbles paper collection!

I coloured the giraffe digitally before printing, a lot of them, and then assembling! Here is the finished stash!

And here is a close up of them!

Printing on linen paper is my favourite at the moment, it is so forgiving, my printer isn't the greatest and sometimes colour prints look a bit lacklustre! So the linen paper gives it some texture and is very forgiving!

So the giraffes were fussy cut and then silicone glued on some more linen card, then matted onto blue card, matted onto the bubbles card and then matted onto more blue card before finally being adorned to the white... err... linen card :)

Of course glitter was a must, the cute little bow tie has been sprinkled with some glitter :)
It fits in beautifully with the color scheme at Just Add Ink

The party was a great success, we had a wonderful, yet tiring day, and Luke was magnificent! :)
I'd like to enter this/these cards into the following challenges:

Dream Valley: Anything Goes
House of Gilli: Celebration
Can You Digi It: Favourite Animal
Bugaboo: Things with tails

Hope you're all doing okay

Lots of love

All aboard Capt'n

Good morning everyone!

Guess who is here, and not just with words, I have cards and EVERYTHING!
Its been a long time, and I'm just about getting my life into some sort of order... loosely!

My little man is now 7mo's old! He is growing so quickly, he is so wonderful and such a bundle of fun!

So anyway, back to the crafting, I am behind, like epicly behind!! And  I have some updates....

So back when I was blogging, you'll know Laurie Wilson asked me to Guest Design for Doodle Pantry.... well... she asked me to stay on so I am now a fully pledged Design Team member and I couldn't be happier! I adore Laurie and her creations she is a wonderful designer and its an honour to work for her...

So leading on from this... my first card is from Doodle Pantry. It was for the release of an awesome set called 'Piratey Ship'

This set is so versatile, it can be used on its own, or teamed with other Doodle Pantry sets, for example, pirate birdie and ant accents to name a few!

Here is what I created with it....

Isn't it adorable! I picked out the blue and red to use as a background, making use of the awesome template from MelStampz. The sentiment is from the set, and there are a few others included as well. I teamed this with a little bit of distress inks around the edges, and voila ready to go!

I hope to be back soon with more updates.
In the meantime i'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

I Did It Creations: Anything Goes
Dilly Beans: One for the Boys
My Grafico: Anything Goes
Tuesday Alchemy: Anything Goes

Until then, Happy Sunday.

Sweet Wishes

Hi everyone,

How are we doing? It feels like ages since i've blogged or crafted, my beautiful boy takes up my time and I love it! Although I go back to work in a month! I am so nervous!!

Anyway, creations! I have a card I made to show you for a friends birthday, it uses some of the beautiful Pink Petticoat goodies!

Its a very girly card, for a very girly girl hehehe! The cherry paper is one of my favourites,  I don't use it enough! The image is from the Cupcakes collection HERE

I printed it out twice, coloured the base layer with promarkers and then cut out the cherry and the frosting. Coloured the cherry with pink and completely covered the frosting with glamourdust! Ooooo I love glamourdust!!

I then tied some pink twine from the ribbon girls around the card and mounted it with pop dots onto the cherry paper! LUSH!

Here is a close up of the gorgeous glamour dust!

Anyway, I hope you like it! That's it from me tonight.
Take care

Also last week Doodle Pantry sponsored Tuesday Morning Sketches with a great sketch, however silly billy here didn't get this posted on time!! Whooops! Time flies with a baby I tell ye!

However, now seems a good time to post it :)

2. Ant Accents - Lots and Lots of adorable ants!!! Awww!!

I've die cut the ants using my big shot and inked the inside with my distress inks in broken china.
The balloons are cut and thread added to make it look like the ants are holding them!!
The papers are from Miss Tiina called Birthday Wish. The edges have been scalloped and a piece of ribbon added and VOILA!

I hope you like it, i'll be back later!

Sunflowers

Happy Saturday everyone!
Did you all watch the opening Olympic ceremony oh my it was amazing! So proud of my country! Me and hubby are going to see the paralymics in August, very excited!!

I did manage to get some crafting done through it all, it is such hard work trying to do this and look after Luke! haha!

Anyway, this card is using one of the images in Doodle Pantry's new release! The beautiful sunflower set, Take a look HERE

It includes both coloured and uncoloured versions along with some background papers and as always plenty of sentiments to work with too!
I saw a card a while ago by Lucy Abrams and wanted to do my own version of it!

Here it is!

I'm quite pleased with how its turned out! I printed out two copies of the sunflower and on the second one covered the middle with glossy accents and a load of microbeads!

The background paper is included with the set! I then used the colour to create the little flags!
I then deckle edged some cream card from stock and mounted it all on top! Voila!

Quite chuffed with it! I don't know where its destination is yet, I just felt like playing with the beautiful card!
I used the sketch from Try Stamping on Tuesday

Cute isn't it!?

Right, thats it from me for tonight.

Back soon,

Sending You Love

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a good week.
The card I've made tonight was made with a heavy heart. Its for one of the mums on my birth board who unfortunately lost her baby last week. Its so so sad. We've followed eachothers progress through pregnancy and her little boy never left the hospital but was well looked after.

We are having a raffle in August to raise money for the hospital that cared for him and we also having a just giving page which you can donate to HERE

I didn't want to give a sympathy card as standard, it seemed wrong, I wanted something bright and upbeat. She has another son and so I thought Pinwheels!

I used the colour palette at Skipping Stones and the sketch from Retro Sketches

I based my card on THIS card from Jen W. So thank you for the inspiration :)
Here is my card!

So the shapes are cut using the Teardrop shape in Microsoft Word. The rest is a bit of freehand drawing on the edges, I felt it needed more as it seemed flat before! The sentiment is also created in word. The edges are inked with some worn lipstick distress ink to roughen it up a bit :)

I hope you like it and I hope my dear mummy friend likes it.

Take care,

Jennie

Love

Evening everyone! How are you all keeping?
Here in the UK we are having awful weather at the moment, seriously so much rain for the so called summer, as soon as the hose pipe ban was called you knew it was going to happen!

I bet summer will finally come when I go back to work! Sigh! Not long to go now and I am dreading it :'(

Tonights post is a card I made for a friends wedding! It uses some of my Miss Tiina goodies, I know they have been featured an awful lot recently!

The card was inspired by one I saw by in blogland, I swore I saved it to my favourites, but alas it doesn't seem to be there :'(

How cute are those loved up owls!!! :)
I used the clouds papers from Pink Petticoat.
The words love are created entirely by myself printing letters onto bits of card.
The owls are Miss Tiina, so cute :D

As you can see I added a touch of googly-eyedness to them and also printed off a second copy to put on springs!! You can see them better below...

I love how this turned out! Obviously because of the additional springs I needed to make a custom envelope for this to go in!

I used my trusty crafters companion envelope maker to create an envelobox to hold this and I could resist customising it further with the cute owls :D

Tehehe isn't it cute :D
I also stuck it down with velcro, no idea why, I got these little velcro tabs years ago but never found a use for them! Hey why not use them on an envelobox :D

The bride and groom really liked them!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

My grafico: Wedding
Platypus Creek Digitals: Things with wings

Beary Much

Another card, where it just didn't work in the end! Booo!
This one is using the sketch from CPS and the colour scheme at Daring Cardmakers!

I spent AGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES paper piecing this bad boy, and it just didn't work, I think there were too many details to cut out for it to work so there are a few gaps :(

Anyway.... here it is!

Hope you are all well, will be visiting your blogs soon!

Pretty Flowers

Hi everyone,

Back again with another post! This is a card to say thank you! I always think its nice sometimes to leave a card without a sentiment... means that the attention is entirely focused on the image! This one is from the A Day For Daisies Store. I do adore the beautiful and delicate images that Tammy draws!

This also ideally fits in with their challenge running this week, texture. I used my texturz plates on my big shot machine to crinkle the card and the layering paper.

I also designed the card using the fab sketch at Tuesday Morning sketches:

So here is my card!

You can just about see the crinkliness on the card but here is a close up :)

The beautiful background paper is from a set by Karen Funk called A Fresh Start.

That's all from me for today.

Take care,

Jennie

Snow much fun!

Yippeee!! I have fab news!
The wonderful Laurie Wilson of Doodle Pantry asked me to be a guest designer again and I was so excited I couldn't refuse!!! :D

This new release is full of some amazing products you must check them out over at the blog!
I am showcasing the amazing snowball ants! They come both outlined and coloured with some cute matching papers!

I got to work with the coloured version in this creation! The coloured versions are such fun as you can create a great looking card really quickly, and now I have Luke time is sure short :D

Isn't it just so cute!! I took the 3 individual ant poses and created a scene! I then printed it and created a hexagon quilt using the hexagon overlay from MelStampz and the papers from Cosmo Cricket

I've used red ribbon as a divider and some cute bakers twine!
The card is matted onto red card stock and then its all matted onto a white card blank!

I'll be around with lots more doodle pantry goodies over the next couple of months and I cannot wait!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Come and Get It Challenge: Bugs
The Paper Players: Christmas in July
52 Christmas Card Throwdown: Anything Goes

Get Well Soon!

Evening all! Hope you are all keeping well!
Tonight I bring you a card I created for my aunt. She went into hospital to get a lump removed so we are waiting for the results on that now... keeping everything crossed for her!

The card uses some of my loved, but never used Chi Chi Memories stamps.

How cute is this set! You can see it HERE
I just absolutely adore the cute, cute, cute plaster!

I used the cute sketch at Sweet Sketch Sunday as inspiration for this challenge along with the color palette at Color Throwdown

Well that's it from me tonight! I'll be back soon with another creation! Take care :)
