Something cute!

So you know I said earlier I had something cute to show you. Well I do!
But its not a card or a creation... well it is a creation but not by me!
Lemme cast you back 6 months... my little niece was born! And she is just amazing. I wanted to share her with you so here goes :)
Without further ado I present Emily Mary Pearson
And a sneaky one with me too :)

Just Flourishing

Good Afternoon all!
Hope you are okay! I am still in bed poorly, tried to go out earlier and nearly passed out, so i'm shackd up in bed again! Booo! I am rubbish at being ill!

But I will distract myself with pretty cards!
This week, although its not technically my design week I have a card for the AI Factory challenge:

This week our challenge to you is

Don't you just love the freedom! I expect to see hundreds and hundreds of your creations this week hahahaha! :)

You have until 11:59EST on Wednesday May 4th to upload your project at our challenge site.  Feel free to enter it with as many other challenges as you would like, as long as it is a new creation.

Remember you don’t have to use an AIFactory image, but we would love it if you did. There are even some freebies on the site here.

We got to use this amazing flourishes vector set this week:

and here is what I created:
I absolutely loved playing with these gorgeous butterfly flourishes! Infact it took me a wee while to decide which one I was going to use on my card!

I followed this STUNNING sketch from CPS
Gorgeous isn't it!
So lets show you a few details!

This is the flourish I chose. I changed the colour to be brown, they are black by default. But you can do so much more with them! Be sure to visit the rest of the Design team as their creations are amazing and you can really see the possibilities with these!

So as you can also see I did something funky with the sentiment

I saw a similar sentiment on someones blog while i was hopping recently! I really cant remember who Darnit!
But I love the effect and it works so well on this card!

Last picture for today.... and a shocker! I decorated the inside of my card! :O :O :O

Granted it is matching paper, but I never normally decorate the insides, but in this case I love it! :D
This paper by the way is from an awesome set which again is a FREEBIE by the awesome Summer @ Summertime Designs you can check out the set called Spring in Your Step HERE

The papers are just beeeeeeeeeeeeeeautiful!

Afternoon everyone!

The sun is shining and I am in bed with a rotten bug! Boooo!
At least I have the window open and a bit of a breeze!

Just a quickie post from me then!
I made these bookmarks for a swap going over on CDAC! Our challenge sponsor was the Awesome Doodle Pantry so I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity!

Here they are:

11 of the little cuties! The Balloon Ants are one of my favourite DP images. I love all the ants but these cuties are definitely my favourite :)

Here is a close up of them! I coloured them all with my paints and added the sentiment myself! I really love how they came out! I am definitely going to make more bookmarks as they were so easy, and looked so sweet :)

A Recipe: 1 Image, 2 Printed Papers, 3 Embellishments

Click on the piccie to go to the store

You should check out Sylvies beautiful Creations they are stunning! Click HERE to go have a look!
So with Easter in mind I created this:

I'm joking of course!!! I couldn't resist this little cutie, and I know Christmas sounds like a million miles away right now but I always get caught up around that time and invariably run out of time to make cards!! :)

I watercoloured the image, the skin is AWFUL I know, I need to do some research, she looks deathly pale, like a china doll! Anyway, the rest didnt come out too bad! Its matted onto Kraft paper and then the 2 DP papers are from a set called Changing Seasons from PXL Cafe.

I added some card candy to the accents at the top, some ribbon accross the middle and a couple of Gems to the sentiment, which is a fabulous Pink Petticoat print off and thats my Recipe complete!

I followed this fabulous sketch from Sketch and Stash:

Don't forget to check out the fabulous creations from my teamies! You can check out their blogs from the links on the right hand side! :)

Guess Who's Back!?

Gosh Its been a while!

Hello everyone! Its really good to be back in blog/craft land! I've missed you and my craft room so much!
Its been a bittersweet few weeks and we finally laid my grandad to rest on Monday in the most beautiful sunshine, it was perfect.

But back to crafting!
I promise I will be back with that Monday Challenge card! I am so behind, I am playing catch up! I also promise to visit all of your blogs and have a nosey! Hello to my lovely new followers too, thanks so much for sticking around in my absence! I'll be sure to visit you all too!

But on to crafting! I do have a card for you! Yup! Admittedly I made this before all the drama commenced, but its a fitting card!

Here we go then!

This card was made as a wedding acceptance for my .. cousin-in-law lol! Does that count as a relative!? Anyway my hubbys cousin! They are such a lovely couple and I am sooo excited about their wedding :)

I loved making this card! It was great fun! Here is a close up of the dimension!

I absolutely adore the cute washing line! It was in an awesome set by BabyStar Design @ MyGrafico. I changed the colours in my graphics programme to match the GORGEOUS paper.. also a MyGrafico purchase this set is called LoveBird by Mels Brushes.

I used some awesome fake stitch doodle borders on this card.. One is on the patterned paper and one is around the washing line. This set was from Lauren Grier from Sweet Shoppe Designs.

I won't be entering this card into any challenges or anything this week! Its a poignant card for me. The love is for you my lovely blogging friends, and for my family. I want to keep it special and private.

However I will be back tomorrow with a challenge card.... so stay tuned!

Card Ingredients:

Stamps:Love Me by Baby Star Design

Inks and things: All Computer Inks!

Papers: LoveBird by Mels Brushes

Odds and Sods:Border/fake stitch designs by Lauren Grier. Brown card from Paper Mill Shop.

Its great to be back!
I'll speak to you all tomorrow.

Lots of love
