You're Grrrreat!

Hey everyone!
Hope you're okay :)

Here with another card for you! This is another father's day creation and this time it uses the beautiful sketch from Iwona Palamountain!

Here is Sketchbook Saturday Challenge

Here is my card!

I love this cute little lion! Its from a set that is now retired! But I paper pieced the lion and cut out the head and decoupaged it! I added some glossy accents to the crown.

The rest is all created myself :)

Hope you enjoy the weekend.

Love

However, this is one of the creations for the Grandads!
It uses a sketch from Sweet Sketch Sunday and the luscious colour pallette from the Color Throwdown site!

Here is my creation:

Card Materials:

Sentiment/Image: Pink Petticoat - Big Wishes
Papers: Created in Gimp using Overlays from Miss Tiina

Hope everyone is enjoying the long jubilee weekend!
I'll be back with another post later :)

Ants on Parade

Yay Its another father's Day card!
This time Laurie Wilsons Ant's are the star of the show. These critters are the most adorable ever! And such a dream to colour :)

I used a colour palette from the Come and Get it Challenge blog for this card!
I wanted to keep it clean and simple! Those ants are too adorable to not be the centre of attention hehe :)

I used some glossy varnish on the trumpet and the gold parts of their marching hats which you can see in this picture:

I used my shiny new coloursoft pencils again to colour this along with the baby oil/paper stump technique. This is my new favourite at the moment. I've always wanted to try it and never had the right pencils!

Here is one more photo of the Ants on their parade! This awesome set also comes with sheep and birds! You should check it out :)

I added the words Dad on to the flag using GIMP. The flag comes blank but with some sentiments which can go in there included! Laurie thinks of everything :)

I would love to enter these cute ants into the following challenges:

Its Fathers Day Again...

So last night I posted my first fathers day card.
Today i used up my scraps, upset my printer and created my next one!
Very similar, an easel card (I like them)

This card was much the same technique as the previous one! Using my lucious pink petticoat supplies! xx

Fathers Day eh!

So last night I couldn't sleep so I decided to get on with one of the fathers day cards. Quite excited by my earlier easel card attempt I made another one! This time bigger!!

What d'ya think?

Again I have used mostly, infact all Pink Petticoat goodies! I will try something new I promise!
I tried to give it a distressed look, a little worried it just looks dirty but hey ho!
Some close up images below.

Today I am going to try and make cards for two strangers.
More on that later!!

xx
