Turtle Power

Its me again!
With another installment tonight... I would have spread it out over the next few days but I am far too impatient so am bombarding you all instead :)

This next card has been created with a few challenges in mind!
Now let me start with the design!
I followed the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches here

What a great sketch eh!?
So based on this I created the following card:
... I even managed to get a mini version of the sketch on the base of the easel card too!

Cute eh! Love this sweet sweet turtle image from Bugaboo Stamps!
This card is also for their challenge this week! The challenge was to use embossing.. Dry or Wet.
I haven't been able to capture it very well but I wet embossed the shell, balloons and feet to give them a raised look.. Maybe the next couple of pictures might help to show it :)

You may also have noticed that the balloons mysteriously display the number '22'. This is not subliminal advertising this is also done on purpose :D

Charisma Cardz Challenges are having their 2nd Birthday this week and have had a bloghop running this week and their challenge this week is to create a birthday card... and you get a 2nd entry if you have the number 2 on it! Seeing as it is my Sister-in-laws 22nd Birthday this year I thought I might get ahead of myself and get the card created now :)

As if that wasn't enough my card is also being entered into the Winter Wonderland Challenge this week .... which isn't necessarily Christmassy at the moment, so don't be put off going over there if you are sick of making Christmas cards..... They are going Dotty this week... and so am I with the Pink Petticoat Big Dots Papers in Envy.

Last but not least.... yes people it is nearly over! I am entering this into the Papertake Weekly challenge which this week is anything Goes! A nice easy one for the New Year :)

Phew.... If you got this far Bravo!!!
Last but not least I will grace you with all the details.

Card Ingredients

Stamps: Turtles from Bugaboo Stamps! There are so many to choose from
Inks and things: Turtle is coloured in promarkers and Wet Embossed. There is also a white Gel Pen used to make the little white dots!
Papers: Green card is from Paper Mill Shop. The Kraft Paper is from BG Payne crafts. The Dotty Paper is from Pink Petticoat Big Dots in Envy.
Odds and Sods: Nothing else to add!

That's all folks.... well until tomorrow when we have a new Challenge for you at IDIC :)
Stay Tuned.

Lots of Love
xxx
