I have spent all day on this card and alas it has turned out nothing like it did in my head! Bah! I hate it when that happens.... Just not entirely happy with it!
It is based on the sketch from Friday Sketchers:
The second I saw it I knew I wanted that middle circle to be a hole in the card! So I created a tent card using one of my stamps from The Paper Shelter
And here is a front on view of the card! I had to cut the accordian base bit because the fold showed through my circle! Darn it!
Would love to know what you guys think... its just not quite right for me.....
It also fits in with the challenge just about to finish at OSAAT which is new!
That's all from me today!
Stay tuned for another IDIC challenge coming up tomorrow :)
Stamp: Sleepyhead moon from the Paper Shelter
Inks and things: None
Papers: Pink Petticoats Fairy Dots and Gingham in Quartz.
Odds and Sods: Ribbon from The Ribbon Girl, The sentiment was a magazine freebie, the circle one was generated in word. Buttons from Papermania and my good ol' card candy.
Lots of love
x

Awwwww! This is so cute! I make lots of baby cards and you are too hard on yourself Jennie, this is a gorgeous card! I think us crafters are very self critical so I have pretended it was me who made the card, so I have sat and stared and stared and then stared some more and I dont see anything wrong with it! The only thing I think might be throwing you is that it doesnt match the sketch completely? But that doesnt matter as you've used the sketch as a base and I think its just lovely!

This is lovely Jennie, great idea and really sweet. Thanks for joining us last week at OSAAT.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the other comments Jennie - this is a beautiful card, and the aperture is a lovely feature. Love the moon and the stars too. Thank you for sharing with us at OSAAT - hope you come back soon. Hugs, Sylvia xxx
