Its A Drop In The Bucket

Good Morning Crafters! I apologise for my silence since Sunday! It has been a hugeeeeely busy week!
So today is my shining debut at AI Factory! And do we have a great challenge in store for you today :D
Our theme is

Drop In The Bucket

We want to see your water related projects! So oceans, swimming pools, pond, rain, vases of water! Anything Watery!
Of course, we'd prefer that you use AIFactory Digis, you even get an extra entry! But any stamps are acceptable! Don't forget AIF has plenty of freebies available at their site HERE too! You'll have until 11:59EST on Wednesday, March 9th, 2011 to link up your creations.

The Design Team got this fab cute little image to work with!

My creative juices got very carried away with this theme! What Me!? Carried Away!? Ahahahaha! Take a look at my creation!

Haha! Told you I got carried away! Anyway this is a 5” square card which I created from scratch, I drew on a rough rockface design and cut the front of the card to to shape. I then popped Mrs Mermaid (I don’t know why I am calling her Mrs) and Mr Crab (from Fred She Said) on the front and used this fab freebie sea background image from MelJens in the background along with the cutsie little seahorse, also from Fred She Said.
Here are a couple more angles for you to check out whats going on here!
Birds Eye View!

Front Row View!

The images and most of the sea background and rock are coloured with watercolour paints. The sea itself is coloured with my shimmer paints, I know any excuse! This is quickly becoming my favourite colouring method at the moment! Definitely one I am beginning to master a bit more!

Anyway onto those tasty ingredients

Stamps: Ella Under The Sea from AIFactory
Sea Horse and Crab – Fred She Said
Sea Background – Freebie from MelJens

Inks and things: Watercoloured and glimmered

Papers: Apart from the blue backing paper… None! GASP!

Odds and Sods: Nothing else! Gosh this really was a simple one! HA!

The following challenges have inspired this card :)

Crafts and Me: Under The Sea
Desert Island Challenges: Recipe: Square, Inspired by nature, hand coloured images, no sentiment
Papertake: Anything Goes
KB: Anything Goes with a digi!
Paper Playtine: Anything Goes with a digi!
Sugar Creek Hollow: Inside and Outside of card! (Hope this counts, the sea is the inside of the card)

Jac Inks: Fabulous Inspiration:

Hope you enjoy her as much as I have! Check out the store HERE and my awesome Design Team Creations, you can find their links on the right!
