Anyway... moving on....

So get this... I am sitting at my desk one evening and an email pops up from one Laurie Wilson (Ya ha the Laurie Wilson from Doodle Pantry)... anyway.... cut to the chase! She asked me if I would like to be a guest designer!!!

It took me all of about 5 seconds to reply and say YES YES YES!
I love Doodle Pantry!

So here I am guest designing for the month of July and I am so excited!
And today is an awesome new release! Yippee!!

You should go check out the Doodle Pantry Store and look at the awesome new releases!
I am using the wonderful Beaver Hello. This comes in both outline and coloured form with some awesome matching papers!

Here is the sweet card I made! Isnt this little guy sooo cute! And the sentiment is adorable!
I coloured him with my coloursoft pencils and tried to use the sky colouring technique by Dorcas. Me thinks a bit more practice is in order!

I was quite chuffed at the colouring of the Beaver though. Its amazing how much difference it makes using good quality pencils!

The card style is one I took from Split Coast Stampers! and the ribbon is from my stash!

I gave it to my wonderful grandmother in law! She is 90 this year and just underwent a cataracts operation on Friday... she is recovering well, even did a little bit of sewing on Sunday. She is the most caring, wonderful lady and I love her to bits, I am so glad she is okay!

I am so looking forward to sharing lots of Doodle Pantry creations with you over this month! I want to thank Laurie and the Doodle Pantry Creative Team for the very warn welcome they have given me!

Also BIG NEWS!

The DIGI GRAB BAG section of the store holds items that Laurie has marked down 50% for 2 weeks from the 5th to the 19th. There are 4 awesome products to choose from Click HERE to go and check them out

I wana be a Rock Star!

Good Day Everyone!

Hope you are all well!? Looks like Summer finally came back! Huzzah!

I must say in advance that part of my card might cause offence to some people. So just to pre-warn you! No offence is intended.

I was asked to create a card for a work colleague! He is a MASSIVE Foo Fighters fan and is also a drummer!

Sooooooooo armed with my brief I did a brief bit of googling and found an AWESOME image of Dave Grohl drumming in his devil disguise from his cameo in Tenacious D.

I freakin' love Tenacious D and Dave Grohl and decided then and there that the card would be based around this image :)

I created a Gate Fold..... well kind of... a kind of pop-up gate fold card with the image as the centrepiece and a printed sentiment with a die-cut guitar! Rock and Roll!

ROCK AND ROLL BABY!

I was really chuffed with how this turned out!
I got to use my new favourite embossing folder again to create the awesome stars!

Everyone loved these! (I've given it to him already) The stars always look great to me! Any excuse to play with my new toy! hehee

The guitar was given to me pre-assembled in a set of die cuts as a birthday present, so I have no idea where it originates! It just went so perfectly with the image!

The text was generated using the font: Sketch Block!
The whole card was created using a sheet of A4 black card!

The front has die-cut stars using my nesties! I also used my black versamark inkpad to "grunge" the front a little bit for that extra hint of rock and roll ness!

The stars took ages to cut out! SO i have invested in a punch now for quickie stars!

Anyway I hope you have enjoyed taking a looksie at this card!
I will be back early next week with some exciting news! We all love exciting news.

I'm late for a very important date!

Evening All!

I am so sorry this is late! eeek! Been having 'puter problems... but I am back now, if not a little late!

This fortnight we have an eaaaaaaasy peasy challenge for you!

Use Ribbon

Ya ha! And we have the most AMAZING sponsor and prize!
We are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons and one lucky winner could win this:

How freakin' awesome is that!
So onto my creation for this challenge!
As you may know by now... my sister in law is getting married! Have I mentioned that yet ;)
Anyway... she has a few children coming to the wedding and wanted something to entertain them during the wedding breakfast and the speeches!

I saw a really awesome creation by Crafty Anny here. That is what I based my colouring book creation on!

I created 5 little colouring books to keep the little ones occupied! I used the complete set of Murtle and Shelly set from Digi Stamp Boutique HERE. They were awesome fun to colour, and as my sister in law has two tortoises, Esio and Trot hehe! I couldnt resist using the tortoises :)

I thought the personalization made it more unique to them, rather than just a colouring book! Inside there are 20 images taken from the awesome colouring pages website and they will have a little bucket with some crayons and pencils etc. Really sweet!

Here is the inside of one of them.... I wasnt sure what to put on the inside so decided to leave it blank.... I guess my sister can add something if she wants too!

The packs are tied together with white ribbon, they look so sweet all together!

These were incredibly cheap to make! And so much more fun than just buying a colouring book! Woo Hoo

Anyway I do hope you will join us for our challenge! We all love ribbon, right? You've got 2 weeks to create something ribbony! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Moving on to......

Dinner Stars

Evening all!

I hope you all had a great weekend!?
The wedding was lovely! Unfortunately It rained, and rained, and rained, and rained! So we never got to go outside but that didn't ruin the atmosphere! It was truly lovely! So very romantic! The bride looked stunning :)

I'm not sure what they thought of the box as I don't think they got chance to see it before we left, but I hope it didn't get squashed amongst all the presents *eek*

Anyway... onto something new!
A while ago I posted pictures of the mountains of invitations I had been creating for my sister in law's wedding... I can't quite believe but it is now less then a month away!!

It's Hen Party time now, and I have organised a nice dinner evening and needed to send out some invitations for the event. I tried to keep it nice and simple, those invites took forever and I've still got the name cards, table plan and order of services to do ;)

So this is my design! As you can see really simple! I've pixelated the details, sorry about that! I've used my bigshot to create the stars that sit on the top and its just a process of matting and layering the black and red card. The stripes across the bottom are from a set of papers called Ladybug from My Grafico.

Here is the star design on the top of the invites. I had fun using my new machine, and I now have my spellbinders tan embossing mats so yay! As you can see from the picture on the left I can now do pretty embossing too!

Even though I mainly wanted the Big Shot for cutting circles, I know how silly of me! The stars are my favourite and most used die so far :)

So on the right is a picture of all of the invites, ready to be posted out in the morning. I am going to be so sad when my sister in law's wedding has come and gone. Creating all of the stationary has brought back all the lovely memories of creating mine with my mum. Can't believe it's 4 years this year!

Anyway that's enough from me and my memories for one evening! Leaves me to give you the card details!

The Card Ingredients

Stamps: None

Inks and things: Printer Ink

Papers:Black and Red card from Paper Mill Direct. The stripe is from a set called Lady Bug from MY Grafico

Odds and Sods: Spellbinders star dies, big shot.
